Bears of Vancouver Island
Black Bears roam the rain forests here on Vancouver Island. I love to photograph these powerful animals but respect must be given to them as they can be unpredictable and you should never get between a mother and her cubs.
It is amazing how fast such a large creature can move, easily outrunning a man. It is a privilege to watch these majestic bears as they feast on vegetation or chase salmon in the rivers.
